MENTAL hEALTH AND WELLBEING

At ESL, we are dedicated to supporting our students’ mental health and well-being through various workshops. Our goal is to cultivate a friendly and positive atmosphere at our campuses while promoting the health and wellbeing of our students. Our workshops provide practical tools, strategies, and insights to help students manage stress, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and foster positive mental health. You can reach out to the Student Wellbeing Services team directly for initial advice and support.

OUR SERVICES

WELLBEING MEETINGS

The Wellbeing Department provides 30-minute confidential one-to-one meetings. It is an open, transparent, and confidential space to come and talk to us about any mental health and wellbeing issues. We will assist you in the best possible support capacity and help you engage in an enjoyable study time at ESL.

DISABILITY SUPPORT

The Wellbeing Department also ensures that you can arrange academic support and adjustments if you have a disability, mental health problems or long-term health condition that has an impact on your ability to study.

HOW DO YOU ACCESS SUPPORT?

If you need academic adjustments or extra support, you will need to provide medical evidence or a formal report. In most cases medical evidence will be a letter from your doctor (General Practitioner or GP), or other appropriate health care professional. If you are unsure of what evidence to provide you can email us mywellbeing@elizabethschool.com for further advice.

WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE?

Support is flexible and based on needs. We can discuss it on a case-by-case basis and assess what your best options are. At ESL, we also have partnerships with a third party that can arrange note-takers, one-to-one support, and further assistance.

EVENTS AND NETWORKING

DROP-IN SESSIONS ON CAMPUS

If you are finding things difficult, knowing that you do not have to struggle alone is important. We can help you find support and provide drop-in sessions, which will be notified to you on campuses via email/in classrooms. It is an entirely confidential space, and you can come and talk about your struggles. They happen quarterly and are specific to availability. You can always book the wellbeing meetings as a replacement as well if it's something urgent.

WORKSHOPS

We offer workshops, groups, and events to support you in developing skills that can enhance your wellbeing. Keep an eye out for the latest workshops and try to attend them as well.

EVENTS AND NETWORKING

At ESL, we want to engage students in having a holistic learning experience. Involving yourself in events and networking spaces will allow great growth and interaction with your classmates and advisors at ESL.
